Sharp Will Jointly With The Italian Electricity Company Manufacturing Thin-Film Solar Cells

Sharp with the Italian electricity company Enel SpA on the solar battery business to a strategic cooperation agreement. The two companies will jointly manufacture of solar cells in Europe and in generating business.

Plans to produce the three-tier structure of the silicon-based thin film solar cells. Details of the future will be agreed upon.

In the power generation business, plans to more than 2011 years building solar power stations, combined generating capacity of 161 MW. The solar power station will use silicon-based thin film solar cell based.
