U.S. Government 117.6 million U.S. dollars investment in research and development of solar energy industry

U.S. Department of Energy recently announced that in February based on the adoption of the re-investment and recovery bill, 117.6 million U.S. dollars will be allocated for the development of solar energy projects.

For the development of solar energy project is 117.6 million U.S. dollars of a total of 467 million U.S. dollars from the economic stimulus plan from the allocation of funds. These activities will take full advantage of partnerships, including the Department's national laboratories, universities, local governments and the private sector, to strengthen the U.S. solar industry and make it into a leading international market.

117.6 million U.S. dollars in the total, 51.5 million U.S. dollars will be used for research and development of photovoltaic power generation technology designed to make solar energy cost reduction and competitive with conventional electricity. In addition, the deployment of solar energy will be 40.5 million U.S. dollars of funds, focused on solving some of the non-technical obstacles.
